These animals are dead, but they are on their way to a new – a second life. They live in a world in between. The specimens look strange, alien-like, quirky, and sometimes a little bit creepy. Spiked with needles, packed in plastic foil, stretched, and fixed, frosted, and soaked in slimy liquid – still these creatures are reality. In their second life they will get another kind of destiny. They will end up in museums and universities for scientific research and education. Meanwhile they exist in this intermediary stage. This is the world of taxidermy.
